Updates to our Board

As we move forward into another promising quarter, we would like to take a moment to express gratitude to Naushee Rahman, whose remarkable decade of service on our Board has made an unforgettable impact on our organisation and community.

Naushee’s tenure has been marked by her commitment to advancing justice and supporting vulnerable communities. Her expertise in governance, strategic development, and leadership has been pivotal in strengthening the Centre’s operational and service excellence. A respected leader, Naushee’s acumen and compassionate advocacy have greatly contributed to our mission of empowering those who face barriers to justice.

Naushee’s influence extended beyond the boardroom. In 2022, she was recognised as a recipient of the Order of Liverpool Awards, underscoring her significant contributions to the local community and dedication to social justice. Her relentless pursuit of better outcomes for clients and passion for fostering a more inclusive and supportive legal environment have been a beacon of inspiration for all.

While we bid farewell to Naushee’s tenure, her legacy will continue to inspire our future initiatives. During her tenure JSC substantially expanded our range of services and our geographical spread and increased fourfold the number of people we reach, staffing and funding.

We are also delighted to announce and warmly welcome Diana Chang as the new Chair of the Board. Diana brings a fresh perspective and a wealth of experience in community-focused leadership. Her vision aligns seamlessly with the Centre’s goals, and we look forward to her guidance as we navigate the evolving landscape of legal and social services.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Naushee Rahman for her years of dedicated service and outstanding contributions. We also look forward to an exciting new chapter under Diana Chang’s leadership.
